Research Inspired Tutoring (RiT) is a premium education and tutoring service. It was founded by Dr. Dutilly to help children and parents in Boulder County and across the nation. RiT does what schools wish they could do: customize education to fit the individual student's needs. RiT accomplishes this goal using a few bedrock-solid practices.
Prioritize Learning over Standards - When they're comprehensible, government standards for education are mostly fine, but they can often bulldoze true learning. Children can quickly disconnect from the education process and become lost in a system. We keep your child's learning and development directly in our sights.
Data-driven Instruction - We use data practices to improve and customize tutoring. To compare this to medical practices, data-driven instruction equivalent to surgical precision. Check out an example of our data tool here.
Best Practices - We do research on best practices in teaching, student learning, and tutoring to figure what works best and how to do more of it.
Student Voice - We prioritize student voice and expression. One of RiT's unique aspects is that we start by learning about your child's goals, ambitions, and interests. We use these to drive instruction and learning.
Visionary Innovation - Your child's future will both look like your past and be different. At RiT, we track trends in education that will impact your child's life. See our blog about Grammarly Grammar Checker.
High-Quality Work - Like you, we seek excellence. RiT tutors push students to produce the best work they have ever created. Whether it's a class presentation, an essay, or a discussion response, we push your child's boundaries and skills gently but firmly.
Evaluation and Improvement - We regularly evaluate our practices, our classes, and our work with students. We review our evaluation results and improve our practices. We treat our business just like we work with your children: collect data, anayze it, and make decisions based on our analyses. See our reviews on Google!
We treat our students like budding intellectuals, complete with interests, ideas, and desires.
